Style Find of the Week:  Bow Slides

Trends come and go.  When I was a teen I went through a phase where I wore tall socks with those Adidas slides that tore up the bottoms of your feet.  You know the ones I’m talking about, the ones with the spikey footbed that are supposed to “massage” your soles…right.  Not a good look.  Well friends, the slide trend is back once again.  I’ve seen them in every color imaginable.  Flat, heeled, closed toed and open, the fashion crowd has taken notice (for the record, I don’t consider myself a “fashion” girl/blogger…  I’m more interested in individual, classic, preferably affordable style, but that’s a conversation for another day).  The thing is…I don’t like them.  Maybe it’s because I cringe at the thought of my previous “slide” phase or because I’m convinced I can’t safely chase after my toddler (that kid is FAST) without the slides tripping me up.  In any case, I’ve stayed away from them…well, I did until I found these.

I love them!  Maybe it’s because I love seersucker (these aren’t true seersucker material, but the blue and white stripes remind me of it) or maybe it’s the large bow (girlie girl here), but I knew I had to have them.  These are similar in style to some Sam Edelman slides that cost $90.  Luckily for me (and you!) these are from Target!  The link for them is here.
